Child-Inclusive Mediation
Children do not participate in the mediation. However, parents can be assisted when receiving an objective perspective on how their children are coping with the separation or the current parenting arrangements.
Through child-inclusive mediation, a trained child consultant, who is a child psychologist, spends time with each child and uses therapeutic tools and strategies to determine how they are coping and what may need to change. The child consultant then provides feedback to the parents during the mediation. Child-inclusive mediation occurs through the following process:
